Welcome my seventh period readers!
I am glad to hear that so many of you are enjoying your books, and if we continue to pick our "just right" books, we should continue to love reading!!
From time to time you will post on our class blog, discussing, questioning, and reviewing your books. That way, you will get ideas about your books from your classmates. Also, you will have suggestions for future reads from your wonderful classmates (and your teacher too)!
So, for your first blog post, tell us:
1. What three genres are your favorites to read (be specific! Not fiction, but historical fiction or fantasy)
2. What is a book you read recently that you would recommend to classmates, and why would you recommend it?
3. Describe your at home reading spot to us!
1. I love to read historical fiction (particularly the World War II era), realistic fiction (because I feel a connection to these books and can relate to them), and biographies (because I enjoy reading and learning about the lives of others).
2. I recently read The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, and I LOVED it! I think most of you would enjoy it because it is easy to relate to because many of the main characters are teenagers. Also, there is a ton of action, suspense, and battle in this book, a very exciting read. However, there are also many emotional moments, where you can visualize and feel the friendship, love, and loyalty between these characters. The other two books, Catching Fire and Mockingjay are just as thrilling and enjoyable. Please give it a try!
3. My at-home reading spot is my sofa. It is really comfy, so I feel like I can sink in, get comfortable, and enter the world of my book. I get lost in my books - until I have to get to the rest of my to-do list!
Happy Blogging!!
